Using Nook

You must be at least 18 and legally able to agree to these terms. You are responsible for your account, devices, invitation codes, and private web-letter links. Give access only to the partner or recipient you intend, and tell us promptly at hello@nook.love if you believe access is compromised.

Nook is a relationship communication tool, not emergency, medical, mental-health, legal, or safety advice. Do not rely on a scheduled letter, reminder, or notification for an urgent or safety-critical message.

Your content and shared spaces

You keep ownership of content you create. You give Nook the limited permission needed to store, process, deliver, back up, and display it according to the audience and timing you choose. You confirm that you have the rights and consent needed for uploaded material.

A relationship space is shared. Content already delivered or revealed to a partner may remain in that partner’s archive after you leave or delete your account, shown under “Deleted partner.” Your drafts, unopened letters, unrevealed answers, private notes, identity fields, and unrelated access data are removed under the privacy notice; the surviving partner’s own private artifacts remain theirs. Ending a space is not the same as deleting both people’s copies of already shared material.

Acceptable use

You may not use Nook to:

• Threaten, stalk, coerce, impersonate, exploit, or harass another person.
• Share unlawful content or content that violates privacy or intellectual-property rights.
• Probe security, bypass access rules, automate abuse, or interfere with the service.
• Expose another person’s invitation, media, account, or capability link without permission.
• Use the service for unsolicited advertising, fraud, or illegal activity.

We may limit or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect people, private content, or the service, and may preserve information where law requires it.

Concept availability and purchases

Nook is in product testing. Features, delivery timing, supported devices, and availability may change, and the service may have interruptions. We will take reasonable care but do not promise uninterrupted delivery, permanent storage, or that a notification reaches a device at a particular time. Keep independent copies of anything you cannot afford to lose.

In-app purchases are not currently available. Complimentary access codes may be offered for testing and have no cash value. Before paid Nook+ access is enabled, purchase terms, pricing, renewal, cancellation, store billing, and RevenueCat processing will be disclosed in the purchase flow and these documents will be updated.

Intellectual property and feedback

Nook’s software, brand, interface, and original materials belong to their respective owners and may not be copied or commercially reused without permission. Feedback may be used to improve Nook without restriction or payment, but it will not give us ownership of your private relationship content.

Responsibility and mandatory rights

Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to those mandatory protections, Nook is provided for product testing without additional guarantees, and neither side is responsible for indirect losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when use began. Any specific paid-service remedies will be stated before payment is accepted.

Ending use, law, and contact

You may stop using Nook at any time and request deletion as described in the privacy notice. Provisions that by their nature continue, including content ownership, permitted archival copies, and responsibility for misuse, survive termination.

Austrian law governs these terms, excluding its conflict-of-law rules, but this choice does not remove mandatory consumer protections or court rights available in your country of residence. Questions and notices can be sent to hello@nook.love.
